A Manufacturing Partner, Not a Middleman
Blazels is a jewellery manufacturer, not a trading house. Every piece we ship to a UK client is designed, cast, set, plated, finished and packed inside our own facility in a Special Economic Zone in Jaipur. Nothing is brokered out to an unnamed workshop, which means when your compliance team asks who made a piece, there is one answer.
- Supplying UK brands since 2000 — three generations of Jaipur craftsmanship behind every order
- OEM, ODM & private label — build to your tech pack, or develop a collection with our design studio
- Flexible MOQs — sized for an independent launching a first collection and for a wholesaler running repeat programmes
- 100% solar-powered production — a genuine, verifiable sustainability claim for your own ESG reporting
- Plastic-free packaging — retail-ready and aligned with UK retail plastic-reduction targets
- SEZ export status — bonded customs handling built for export cargo, not general freight
Hallmarking, VAT & Getting It Landed
The practical detail UK buyers ask about before they place a first order.
| Hallmarking | Silver articles over 7.78 g described as silver require a UK-recognised hallmark before sale. Assay is normally done by a UK Assay Office (London, Birmingham, Sheffield or Edinburgh) on arrival. We manufacture to the agreed 925 fineness and can apply your registered sponsor's mark. We flag at design stage which pieces fall below the exemption weight. |
|---|---|
| EORI & import VAT | You will need a UK EORI number to import as a business. Import VAT and any applicable duty fall due on arrival; most UK importers reclaim import VAT through postponed VAT accounting. |
| Nickel release | 925 sterling silver is not a nickel-bearing alloy. UK REACH mirrors the EU nickel-release restriction for items in prolonged skin contact, which bears mainly on plating and findings. Third-party nickel-release testing arranged on request. |
| Incoterms | Ex Works, FCA, CPT and CIP quoted as standard (Incoterms 2020). DAP and DDP on request; FOB and CIF where sea freight is used. |
| Freight | Insured air courier with real-time tracking, cleared through SEZ export channels. Typical transit to the UK is a matter of days, not weeks. |
| Documentation | Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin prepared by our in-house export desk with every shipment. |

Questions from UK Brands
Do you supply silver jewellery to UK brands?
Yes. Blazels has supplied UK jewellery brands, wholesalers and independent retailers since 2000, on an OEM, ODM, private label and wholesale basis. We manufacture 925 sterling silver and gemstone jewellery in our own facility in a Special Economic Zone in Jaipur, India, and ship to the UK by insured air courier with tracking.
Does my jewellery need to be hallmarked for the UK?
Under the UK Hallmarking Act, silver articles weighing more than 7.78 grams and described as silver must carry a UK-recognised hallmark before sale. Assay is normally carried out by a UK Assay Office such as London, Birmingham, Sheffield or Edinburgh once the goods arrive. Blazels manufactures to the agreed 925 fineness and can apply your registered sponsor's mark. We advise on piece weight at design stage so you know which pieces exceed the 7.78 g hallmarking weight and therefore require assay.
What are your MOQs for UK orders?
MOQs are flexible and set per style rather than as a single fixed threshold. They depend on design complexity, stone calibration and whether new tooling is required. We work with small independent UK brands launching a first collection as readily as with established wholesalers placing repeat programmes.
How does import into the UK work after Brexit?
Goods ship from our SEZ unit in Jaipur directly to the UK. You will need a UK EORI number to import as a business, and import VAT plus any applicable duty is payable on arrival. We quote Ex Works, FCA, CPT and CIP as standard (the Incoterms 2020 air-freight terms) and can arrange DAP or DDP on request. All commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin are prepared by our export desk.
How quickly can you produce samples for a UK brand?
CAD models are turned around in as little as 24 hours from your sketch or reference. Physical samples ship in 10 to 14 days. Approved designs move into production with a 4 to 6 week lead time depending on volume and finishing.
